Kia Ora, my name is Kylee and I am the Visiting Teacher for Waikato, BOP and Auckland Regions.
I have been a teacher in the ECE sector for over 20 years, working as a Centre Manger, Training and Development Lead, Visiting Teacher and also as a Homebased Educator when my own children were young.
I am fully registered teacher with a Diploma of ECE Teaching. I also hold a Certificate in Adult Teaching and a Diploma of Montessori Teaching.
My Teaching Philosophy is based around the key principles of respect, independence, relationships, partnership and understanding. I believe in a holistic approach to learning for children embracing families and communities, working to together to empower children in their learning journeys. My Professional Inspirations in my practise include Maria Montessori, Emmi Pikler as well as the Regio Emilia Approach. I am driven by a strong emphasis on prepared environments and the importance of building respectful relationships with children and their families. I believe in open ended learning and children learning in their own time and at their own pace.
In my spare time I am a busy mum to 3 teenage girls, 3 cats and a dog. We are a netball loving family, with all of my girls playing netball at competitive levels. I am based in Hamilton and have been here all my life.
